Penguins Recall Patrick Killeen

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that goaltender Patrick Killeen has been re-assigned from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton earlier this season on January 3, Killeen has dressed for four games with the Penguins. The second-year netminder from Carp, Ontario has gone 17-11-2 over 33 games with the Nailers in 2011-12, registering a 2.76 goals against average and an .891 save percentage.

Last season during his rookie year, Killeen registered a 19-16-2 record in 40 contests with a 2.87 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Pittsburgh's sixth-round pick (180th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Killeen compiled a 63-48-15 record during four seasons with the OHL's Brampton Battalion.

The Nailers' next game takes place on Friday night at 7:00, when they travel to Huntington Center to face the Toledo Walleye.
