Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors will have three players recognized through the ECHL Silver Skater/Golden Goalie Program, a league-wide promotion that honors the top players around the league for each team.

In an online fan poll, RW Scott Freeman and F Peter Boyd were selected as the Condors' Silver Skaters. The league also selected one goalie from each team, and the Condors' Golden Goalie was chosen to be Matt Keetley.

Boyd, who is the Condors team captain, and Keetley, who is the Condors goaltending leader in wins, goals against average and save percentage, will both wear special jerseys tonight, when the Condors host the Stockton Thunder. Boyd's jersey will feature a specially-designed silver Condors logo crest, while Keetley's jersey is gold in color, with a Golden Goalie logo crest and the Condors logo on the shoulders. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and game time is 7 p.m.

Freeman, who is currently on the 21-day injured reserve and will not play tonight, will wear his Silver Skater jersey during the next Condors home game he participates in.

The jerseys will be available for purchase in an online auction on www.MeiGray.com that commences Mar. 5.
