ECHL Announces Fines

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the following fines.

Colorado's Chiarot fined

Colorado Ben Chiarot has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game 530, Ontario at Colorado, on Feb. 22.

Chiarot was assessed a major penalty for elbowing at 18:07 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Greenville organization fined

The Greenville organization has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of violating ECHL Playing Rule #72 - Video/DVD Procedure from the ECHL Playing Manual, for failure to record its game against Toledo in its entirety, on Feb. 19.
