IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Atlantic Division-leading Elmira Jackals welcome the Reading Royals back to First Arena for the first time in nearly three months tonight, with the opening face-off set for 7:35 p.m. The Jackals are off to a 2-0 start to their five-game week, earning a comeback victory over the Greenville Road Warriors on Wednesday to follow up their win in Reading on Monday. The Royals take a five-game point streak into tonight's game, having gone 4-0-0-1 since Feb. 15.

COMEBACK KIDS COME THROUGH AGAIN

Wednesday's win was Elmira's seventh straight in which it had to come back from a deficit and was its 20th comeback victory overall of 2011-2012. The Jackals have consecutive wins to start the week in which they have trailed by two goals and have faced a deficit entering the third period. Overall, Elmira has seven wins this season when trailing by two goals and has a league-leading nine victories when down by at least a goal heading into the third.

HIBERNATING OFFENSE AWAKENS

Prior to Wednesday's contest, the Jackals had played in 14-straight games in which they had scored no more than three goals in regulation and overtime. Elmira broke the slump, however, scoring four times alone in the third period, tying a single-period high in 2011-2012, and notching five goals in the 5-3 win over Greenville. The five-goal output was the club's largest since it scored seven times in a 7-4 win over Wheeling on Jan. 21 and was the sixth time this season the Jackals scored that many goals in a game.
