
Penguins Recall Alex Boak from Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that defenseman Alex Boak has been recalled from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
Boak has skated in 22 games for the Penguins this season, recording one goal, three assists and 49 penalty minutes. A 25-year old rookie from Norwood, NY, Boak has also played in 10 contests this year for the Nailers. He netted his first ECHL goal on Mar. 7 with the game-winning tally in the Wheeling's 4-3 victory over the Indy Fuel.
Boak totaled seven goals, 24 assists and 357 penalty minutes over 148 games with Clarkson University from 2010-14. He went on to make his pro debut last spring with Wheeling, where he played in eight games and recorded 24 penalty minutes.
The Penguins begin a three-game homestand on Wednesday, Mar. 11 when the take on the Hershey Bears at 7:05 p.m.
