Springfield Falcons Reassign Defenseman Mike Dipaolo to Allen Americans

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have reassigned defenseman Mike DiPaolo from the Ontario Reign to the Allen Americans of the ECHL, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

DiPaolo, 21, has appeared in 24 contests with the Reign this season, earning 1-2-3 along with 78 penalty minutes and a +2 rating. He has also skated in six games with the Kalamazoo Wings, posting one goal and 16 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defenseman split the 2013-14 season with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League. He earned four assists and racked up 165 penalty minutes in 51 appearances with the Islanders. Over three seasons with the Sting, the Brantford, Ontario native skated in 64 games and registered one goal along with 75 penalty minutes. DiPaolo started his career in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Burlington Cougars, collecting four assists in 22 appearances.
