Pendleton Promoted To Triple-A

(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced today that RHP Lance Pendleton has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre and OF Edwar Gonzalez has been activated from the disabled list.

Pendleton (10-4, 3.43) currently ranks top ten in the league in ERA, wins, strikeouts, battting average -against and WHIP. Pendleton's 2010 accomplishments also include the EL Pitcher of the Week Award for the week ending July 25th and a selection to the 2010 EL All-Star game in Harrisburg,PA. A fourth round draft pick out of Rice University in 2005, Pendleton moved into the Thunder starting rotation in early April and has lost only twice since April 22.

Gonzalez is activated from the disabled list after a seven day stint. The Thunder outfielder is currently batting .235 with six homeruns and 35 RBI.

The Thunder start a three game series at Altoona tonight at 7:05 PM. RHP Hector Noesi will make the start in place of Pendleton. All the action can be heard live on 107.7 FM or online at www.trentonthunder.com.
