MIDLAND, MI - Jaime Pedroza singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning and Esteban Lopez drove home three runs as the Great Lakes Loons wrap up a productive homestand with a 4-3 win over the Clinton LumberKings.

The Loons finished the homestand 5-1 with three of their wins coming in their last at bat. The Loons are now 13-3 at Dow Diamond in the second half and have won 16 of their last 20. The Loons have won six consecutive home series.

The game featured the Midwest League debuts of starters Aaron Miller for the Loons and the LumberKings' Andrew Carraway. Miller, limited to a pitch count, threw three innings, allowing one run and striking out six.

Against Carraway, the Loons loaded the bases with one out in the second when Esteban Lopez ripped a double to right-center to clear the bases and give the Loons and early 3-0 lead. Carraway finished his first league outing after five innings, striking out five.

Clinton tied the game with two against Loons' reliever Geison Aguasviva. The game-tying run was scored on an infield single by Luis Nunez.

In the ninth with one out and the game tied 3-3, Parker Dalton ripped a double down the left field line one pitch after ripping a similar ball foul. The LumberKings elected to intentionally walk Dee Gordon and pitch to Jaime Pedroza from the right side, bringing in lefty Jose Jimenez in relief. Despite hitting less than .200 against left-handers on the year, Pedroza singled to left on the first pitch from Jimenez. Dalton was able to score easily from second after a brief bobble by left fielder Jake Shaffer.

Cole St. Clair (4-1) recorded the win with two scoreless relief innings.

The Loons begin a four-game roadtrip in Dayton Monday before returning to Dow Diamond for an eight-game homestand beginning Friday. Monday's game time is 7pm and features a pitching matchup of right-hander JonMichael Redding (12-3, 4.57) for the Loons against JC Sulbaran (2-2, 4.90) for the Dragons.

The game will be carried in Mid-Michigan on ESPN 100.9-FM and online at Loons.com.

The Great Lakes Loons are the third-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
