Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
August 2, 2009 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce that Roberto Lopez has been activated from the DL. Abe Flores, Director of Player Development for the LA Angels, announced the moves on Sunday.
Lopez was placed on the DL back on July 22 with a left wrist sprain. To make room on the Kernels roster, catcher Nolan Brannon was assigned to the Orem Owlz of the Pioneer league.
Lopez will be available for this afternoon's game with West Michigan. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at the MWL maximum of 25 active players with three on the disabled list.
The playoff-bound Kernels continue a seven game road trip this afternoon at 1:00 pm in West Michigan.
