December 4, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - Tonight at 7:00 p.m., inside the Brandt Centre, the Regina Pats (9-13-0) host the Swift Current Broncos (8-12-3) in the first game of a three game homestand.
Tonight will also be the #CHLLeaveYourMark jersey design contest, with the Pats wearing a fan made jersey by Allery Lang. Real Canadian Superstore's Leave Your Mark Design a Jersey Contest is a CHL-wide promotion encouraging hockey fans to create a jersey for their favourite team to wear during a special home game
The Pats have lost their last three games, and finished off their six game road swing with a 5-2 loss in Prince Albert against the Raiders. Tanner Howe scored his team leading fourth power play goal of the year while Braxton Whitehead was credited with an unassisted goal after the Raiders scored on their own net. The final shots were 42-30 in favor of the Pats, with Regina going 1-for-5 on their power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Swift Current Broncos are coming off a 3-0 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday, and have won two of their last three games. Isaac Poulter 47 saves for his third shutout of the season while the Broncos got goals from Matthew Ward, Carter Stebblings and Josh Filmon.
The Broncos are also coming off a 5-5-1 month of November, where they sprung together a three game winning-streak in the middle of it. On the flip side, the Broncos have dropped nine straight road games, with their last road win coming on October 2nd.
