Blades hand ICE first regulation loss at home

The Saskatoon Blades earned their first victory of the season in their fourth game against the Winnipeg ICE scoring five goals in the second period on their way to a 6-2 decision.

Brandon Lisowsky led the Blades with two goals and an assist. Kyle Crnkovic also scored twice while singles came from Brendan Lee and Misha Volotovskii.

Evan Friesen (pictured) scored his first WHL goal for the ICE to break the shut out bid of Nolan Maier who made 34 saves.

Matthew Savoie also scored, extending his point streak to 13 games (8 goals and 17 assists for 25 points). Savoie now leads the WHL with 41 points (14 goals and 27 assists).

Gage Alexander's personal seven game winning streak came to an end allowing three goals on seven shots in the opening 28:49. Daniel Hauser played the final 31:07 stopping eight of 11.
