Regina, Sask. - 12 different players got on the scoresheet, leading the club to a season-high nine goals as the Regina Pats hammered the Edmonton Oil Kings 9-4 on Friday at the Brandt Centre.
Five different Pats players recorded three-point games, as Cole Temple (2G-1A), Anthony Wilson (1G-2A), Sam Oremba (2G-1A), Tye Spencer (1G-2A) and Braxton Whitehead (3A) each had incredible nights while Ewan Huet made 25 saves for his 11th win and third straight victory.
The Pats are now 20-26-4-2 on the season with 46 points, and are five points back of the eighth and final playoff spot. The Pats have won their last two games and their last two on home ice, as well as three of their last four home games.
Tonight's game marked our annual Indigenous Celebration Night as the Pats dawned orange jerseys, raising $9,650 from their jersey auction with 100% of the net proceeds getting donated to the Orange Jersey Project. Last year, the Pats raised over $15,000 dollars towards the Orange Jersey Project after defeating the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-3 on March 15.

THE GOALS
First Period
1-0 Oil Kings at 1:36 - Cole Miller (5), assisted by Mathew Gallant // Miller streaked in along the right-wing boards and fired a shot past Huet to give the Oil Kings an early 1-0 lead.
1-1 Pats at 9:40 - Sam Oremba (17), assisted by Anthony Wilson // Wilson and Oremba skated in along the left-wing boards, and Oremba sent a shot that went off Hay's pad and in to tie the game at 1-1.
2-1 Pats at 15:01 - Jaxsin Vaughan (12), assisted by Zane Rowan & Zackary Shantz // Rowan got in close on Hay and sent a between-the-legs back pass to Vaughan who roofed it past Hay to give the Pats a 2-1 lead.
3-1 Pats at 16:15 - Cole Temple (5), assisted by Logan Peskett & Corban Almen // While busting in along the right-wing boards, Peskett sent a pass to the blue paint and Temple was there to tip it past Hay to make it 3-1 in the latter stages of the first period.
Second Period
4-1 Pats at 1:23 - Sam Oremba (18), assisted by Braxton Whitehead & Tanner Howe (PP) // Whitehead's shot was kicked out by Hay, and Oremba jammed at the loose puck and it went in off the netminder. After a lengthy review, it was deemed a good goal to make it 4-1 Pats.
5-1 Pats at 5:13 - Carson Haynes (3), assisted by Tye Spencer & Anthony Wilson // The puck made it to the point and Haynes' sent long shot that beat a screened Hay to extend the Pats lead to 5-1.
5-2 Oil Kings at 10:53 - Adam Jecho (14), assisted by Ty Nash // As Nash crashed the net, Jecho wrapped the puck around the back of the net to beat Huet and pull the Oil Kings to within three at 5-2.
6-2 Pats at 13:42 - Logan Peskett (5), assisted by Cole Temple & Corban Almen // The Pats entered the Oil Kings' zone with numbers and Temple found Peskett in the slot and he fired the puck past Perry to give the Pats a 6-2 lead.
7-2 Pats at 16:44 - Cole Temple (6), assisted by Braxton Whitehead & Zackary Shantz (PP) // Temple got the puck at the point and as he skated in toward the slot he toe-dragged and fired home his second of the game to extend the Pats lead to five at 7-2.
Third Period
8-2 Pats at 8:42 - Anthony Wilson (6), assisted by Tye Spencer // Spencer's shot is knocked aside but Wilson grabbed the loose puck and fired it past Perry to give the Pats a six-goal lead at 8-2.
8-3 Oil Kings at 12:42 - Marc Lajoie (19), assisted by Gavin Hodnett & Gracyn Sawchyn // Lajoie's point shot beat a screened Huet to make it 8-3.
9-3 Pats at 17:37 - Tye Spencer (18), assisted by Sam Oremba & Braxton Whitehead (PP) // From deep in the Oil Kings zone, Oremba sent a pass to Spencer at the left circle and he fired it home to make it 9-3.
9-4 Oil Kings at 19:26 - Adam Jecho (15), assisted by Blake Fiddler (SH) // Jecho was sprung on a breakaway and notched the shorthanded marker to make it 9-4.

Sam Oremba scored his 17th and 18th goals of the season and added an assist, giving him 11 points (8G-3A) in his last eight games. He's now a career-best four-game goal-scoring streak.
Anthony Wilson grabbed a goal and a pair of assists for a career-high three points. He is now on a three-game point streak (2G-4A).
Jaxsin Vaughan has scored in back-to-back games and has 12 goals on the season.
Zane Rowan notched his first point in seven games.
Zackary Shantz ended a two-game pointless drought with a pair of assists.
Cole Temple broke a 29-game goalless streak with his first career two-goal and three-point outing (2G-1A). His last goal was on Oct. 20 at PA
Logan Peskett ended a five-game pointless drought with an two points (1G-1A).
Corban Almen had his first career two-assist game and has four points (2G-2A) in his last five games.
Tanner Howe had an assist and has 11 points (3G-8A) in his last 10 games.
Braxton Whitehead has assists in back-to-back games and has nine points (1G-8A) in his last nine games.
Carson Haynes matched a career-high with his third goal of the season and first in 21 games (his last goal was Dec. 15th)
Tye Spencer picked up a goal and a pair of assists and has grabbed 15 points (7G-8A) in his last 10 games.
Tonight's victory snapped a four-game skid vs. Edmonton.
