Patriots Take Second Straight

Camden, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Camden Riversharks 7-4 to win their second straight game.

Michael Hernandez drove in two runs in his return to the lineup after spending the past month on the disabled list. The first run scored in the first inning on a bases loaded walk and the second came on an RBI double in the third inning.

Joe Holden went 4 for 6 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base for Somerset, who also received doubles by Dan DeGeorge and John Pachot in the win. DeGeorge was 2 for 5 with two runs scored.

The Patriots got another solid start from Bill Pulsipher (3-5), who allowed just one earned run on six hits in five innings of work. Casey Cahill, Jeff Kennard, and Ryan Houston combined for three scoreless innings of relief.

Humberto Sanchez (1-1) suffered the loss for the Riversharks, allowing four runs, two earned, on five hits in four innings pitched. Camden got a home run from Alvin Colina (10) in a 4 for 4 performance that included three RBI.
