Somerset Patriots News Release


Camden, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Camden Riversharks 2-1 at Campbell's Field on Thursday night.

Patriots starter Chris Oxspring (3-7) allowed just one run on five hits and struck out eight to pick up the win. Camden starter Wilkin De la Rosa (0-1) suffered the loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits in seven innings pitched. Ryan Houston earned his third save for Somerset with a scoreless ninth inning pitched.

Norris Hopper and Matt Hagen each had an RBI for Somerset and Joe Holden finished the game 2 for 4 with a run scored and two stolen bases.

The Patriots and the Riversharks will continue the series on Friday night with a 7:05 pm game at Campbell's Field. Listen live on WCTC 1450 AM or www.wctcam.com.
