LANSING, Mich. - After their comeback fell short on Saturday, the Lansing Lugnuts (23-12, 61-41) reversed roles with the Lake County Captains (16-19, 44-60), jumping out to an early lead and triumphing 10-6 on Sunday afternoon on Jackson Field.

It was an offensive-oriented matinee, with sixteen total runs thanks to both teams garnering ten hits and the Lugnuts drawing nine walks... while the Captains had eight walks of their own.

The Lugnuts roughed Captains' starter Cole Cook (Loss, 5-11) for six runs in the first two innings. Lance Durham knocked his third home run of the season to highlight the scoring, while Bryson Namba and Marcus Knecht added doubles.

The Captains made it interesting in the fifth, scoring four unearned runs against reliever Aleson Escalante, with the big knock coming from a three-run double by Brian Heere.

After scoring another run in the sixth on a triple by Carlos Moncrief and RBI double by Giovanny Urshela, the Lugnuts turned the game over to Dayton Marze (Win, 5-5), who slammed the door shut.

Michael Crouse, Knecht, and K.C. Hobson each had 2-for-4 showings, while Oliver Dominguez drew walks in all four of his plate appearances.

Lansing right-hander Tyler Powell (2-2, 3.79) will try to win the rubber match against Lake County right-hander Kirk Wetmore (2-0, 6.38), at 7:05 p.m. on Monday night. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.lansinglugnuts.com, at the stadium box office, and by calling 517-485-4500.
