November 27, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Brampton Beast News Release
BRAMPTON, ON - Paramount Fine Foods, in partnership with the Brampton Beast, are pleased to announce the launch of a new campaign to assist refugee families in Syria, called Saves for Syria.
The campaign kicks off during the Brampton Beast game at the Powerade Centre on Sunday, December 6 at 2PM against the Kalamazoo Wings. To kick start the campaign, Paramount Fine Foods will be pledging $100 for every save made by a Beast goaltender during the game, for a total donation of $3,000. Paramount's ultimate goal is to raise $30,000, which is the approximate amount to sponsor a family in Syria.
Paramount Fine Foods and the Brampton Beast are actively seeking members of the public to donate and pledge to help them reach their goal.
In an effort to attract attention to this important cause, Paramount Fine Foods locations in Milton, Mississauga and Brampton will be giving away ticket vouchers to Sunday's game starting on Tuesday, December 1 and running until Saturday, December 5. Customers that purchase lunch during the hours of 11AM-2PM on specified days will receive a ticket voucher while supplies last.
Julie Hamada, Marketing Manager with Paramount Fine Foods was quick to realize the escalating refugee situation in Syria and is happy to have Paramount Fine Foods get involved to support the cause.
"Paramount Fine Foods has always placed community first and as a community, it's important to come together and make a large impact that extends globally to share compassion and giving to those in time of need. The Syrian refugee crisis is a global problem in which we all must partake a role in solving in anyway we can. And what's a better way than to give back?"
Michael Miele, Vice President of Marketing and Sales with the Brampton Beast helped spearhead the initiative with Paramount Fine Foods and saw an opportunity for the Beast support community.
"We're very pleased to partner with Paramount Fine Foods on this initiative. The Beast are always looking to get involved with the community at large, both inside and outside the Peel region. We knew we wanted to get involved in a big way when this campaign was brought to our attention In our initial conversations in partnering with Paramount Fine Foods. We're happy to do what we can to raise funds and awareness for these Syrian refugees and their families."
