**Wichita leads season-series 2-0-0-0 vs. Tulsa

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the third meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Oilers. All-time, Wichita is 133-110-23 against Tulsa and 59-61-11 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita heads on the road tonight for the first time since November 10th to take on the Tulsa Oilers. The Thunder snapped a four-game losing streak on Wednesday night with a 5-1 win over the Indy Fuel. The Oilers lost their last game against the Allen Americans by the final score of 4-3. Wichita leads the StoneWolf Casino Cup Series, winning both games by one. Anthony Deluca netted the game-winner on Veterans Day in a shootout.

TWO OR MORE - The Wichita offense started early on Wednesday night and found its rhythm. It was the first time in 10 games that the Thunder had scored three or more goals dating back to a 5-2 win at home against Colorado on October 30th. Ironically, the Thunder scored five goals in both of those games when they found the net more than two times in a game.

POWERING UP - The Thunder power play has struggled this season, but got off the schnide on Wednesday night. Wichita scored its first power play goal in 10 games and went 1-for-3 in the contest. Danick Gauthier netted his first of two at 13:11 of the second with a beautiful shot from the left circle.

MILESTONES - Ian Lowe is nearing several milestones. He hit 100 ECHL points on Wednesday night with an assist. He needs 17 more games to have played in 300 as a pro. He also needs seven more points to hit the 200 point plateau. The fifth year pro out of Bradwardine, BC is currently in his fourth season in the Air Capital. 158 of his 193 points have come donning Thunder blue.

MULTI-POINT - Danick Gauthier and Andy Huff led the way up front for the Thunder offense on Wednesday. Gauthier recorded his first two-goal game of the season and third goal in the last two games. Huff had a goal and an assist and has goals in back-to-back games.

STEADY SHANTZ - David Shantz shined on Wednesday night has he turned away 25 of 26 shots that he faced. The Hamilton, ON native looked stellar in net as he turned away three breakaways. Shantz has a 2.34 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage in November. He currently ranks tied for fifteenth in save percentage at .914.

FIRST GOAL - Teams in the ECHL that have scored first have the upper hand so far to this point in the season. Out of the 227 first goals scored so far, teams are 163-49-8-7 and good for a clip of .751 winning percentage. The Thunder have scored six first goals so far this season, going 4-1-0-1.

THUNDERBOLTS...Peter Sakaris leads the team in shots with 45...Paxton Leroux and Daniel Johnston made their Thunder debuts on Wednesday night with each recording an assist...Erick Lizon had his first point of the season on Wednesday... Wichita is 4-0-0-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 3-3-0-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 4-3-0-1 in one goal games..Wichita outshot their opponent for just the fifth time this season and is 2-3-0-0 in that span...

TULSA NOTES - Ben Walker was returned to Tulsa while Jussi Olkinuora was recalled to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League...Dennis Brown has assists in five-straight games, recording eight helpers in that span...Adam Pleskach had a hat trick, the fourth of his career, last Saturday against Allen...Christophe Lalancette has six points in his first five games as a pro...Tulsa has power play goals in four of their last five outings...

AROUND THE ECHL - There are 10 other games tonight in the ECHL. Orlando takes on Atlanta. Greenville goes to Reading. Brampton travels to Toledo. Manchester plays at Norfolk. Indy goes to Missouri. Kalamazoo is in Quad City. Allen treks to Utah. Florida remains in Colorado. Idaho is in Rapid City. Evansville takes on Alaska.
