Panthers Send Mark Cullen to San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (January 3, 2012) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that center Mark Cullen has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Cullen, 33, has appeared in six games with Florida this season recording an assist, a plus-2 rating and an average of 7:59 of ice time. He tallied an assist on Dec. 27, 2011 to help the Panthers to a 5-3 win over Toronto. The Virginia, Minn. native has recorded 17 points (3 goals, 14 assists) and 14 PIM in 21 games with the Rampage this season. The center has played in 38 NHL games in his career, registering 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) with Florida (2011), Chicago (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07). Originally signed by the Panthers on July 22, 2010, Cullen has recorded 409 points (146 goals, 263 assists) in 525 AHL games over his professional career.

The Rampage travel to Charlotte for a back-to-back matchup against the Checkers tonight and Wednesday at 6 p.m. (CDT) at Time Warner Cable Arena. The team will return to the AT&T Center on Friday to host the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. for a KZEP Dollar Drink Night.
