HOMEWARD BOUND
The Wolves open a season-high six-game homestand against Lake Erie on Saturday; Chicago, which has notched a 8-5-0-2 mark at home this year, has played just 15 of its 32 games this season at the Allstate Arena, tied for the fifth-fewest home tilts in the AHL.

--- CHRIS TANEV: Dished out two assists in his last two outings after being held off the scoresheet in his previous five contests ... Paces team defensemen and ranks second overall on the Wolves with 10 assists in 19 games this season ... Has already surpassed his 2010-11 point total of 9 (G, 8A) in 39 matchups with Manitoba ... All 10 of his points came in 13 games during December ... Has accrued a plus or even rating in 16 of his 19 tilts this season, which includes 11 of his last 12 games

--- The Wolves play four of their next five games against Midwest Division foes; Chicago, which has posted a 8-7-0-1 mark against divisional foes this year, ranks fourth in the Midwest Division with 36 points (16-12-1-3).
--- The Wolves failed to open scoring on Saturday for the first time in four games; Chicago has posted an 11-5-0-1 mark when lighting the lamp first this year.
--- Chicago was blanked on the man-advantage on Saturday (zero for three) for the first time in five games; the Wolves, who have converted six of their last 24 power-play chances, share 13th in the league with a 19.3 efficiency rating on the power play this season (27 of 140).
--- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR bagged 8 assists and 10 points in 13 games during December, despite being held scoreless in six of those tilts; the 32-year-old forward paces the Wolves and shares 11th in the league with 30 points (9G, 21A) in 31 outings this season.
--- The Wolves have surrendered at least one power-play goal in seven of their last 10 contests (34 of 44); Chicago shares 14th in the AHL with a 82.1 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (110 of 134).

--- Wolves forward TIM MILLER will visit the Summit Public Library, 6233 South Archer Road, at 4:30 p.m. and the Orland Park Public Library, 14921 South Ravinia Avenue, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Vista Health System and Butternut Bread. Members of the squad will make library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 600,000 children since its inception in 1995.
