Panthers Recall Mike Green

SUNRISE, FLA. - Florida Panthers General Manager Rick Dudley announced yesterday that the Panthers have recalled C Mike Green from San Antonio (AHL).

Green, 24, has played in 43 games with San Antonio this year scoring 12 goals and notching 22 assists. He ranks second behind Eric Beaudoin, who is with the Panthers as well, in team scoring.

The Victoria, British Columbia native appeared in all 80 of the Rampage's game last year and finished second on the club with 60 points (26-34-60). For his success on the ice, he was selected as the PHPA's Ironman of the Year.

In his four-year professional playing career, Green has also spent time with Louisville (2000-01), Port Huron (2000-01), Knoxville (2000-01), Macon (2001-02) and Cincinnati (2001-02). He was signed by the Panthers as an unrestricted free agent on March 29, 2000, and has yet to appear in his first National Hockey League game.
