
Evan Cheverie Released From PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have released Forward Evan Cheverie from a professional tryout contract. Cheverie, who attended training camp in Bridgeport last fall and spent most of the season with the United Hockey League's Columbus Stars, had three goals and ten penalty minutes in 12 games with the Sound Tigers.
The Sound Tigers will return home to host the Lowell Lock Monsters this Friday at 7:35 p.m. and the Albany River Rats this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. Both of this weekend's games will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
