Pacheco Collects Three Hits, Rainiers Losing Streak Continues in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA - Jordan Pacheco had three hits, including a double, but Tacoma couldn't come away with a victory over Sacramento, losing by the score of 18-3 on Friday at Raley Field.

The defeat for Tacoma marked their season-worst seventh in a row, and dropped them to 48-57 on the year. Nabil Crismatt (0-3) took the loss for the Rainiers. Sacramento, on the other hand, improved to 57-48 with the victory.

The Rainiers offense got going early, cutting into the River Cats 3-0 lead in the second on a run-scoring single off the bat of Pacheco.

The River Cats then built their lead to 5-1 until the Rainiers offense came back in the fourth. Tacoma scored twice, with one run coming across on Ian Miller's single.

The River Cats expanded their lead after the fourth, scoring the game's final 13 runs on the way to a victory.

Tacoma pitchers as a group gave up the 18 Sacramento runs, 13 earned, on 16 hits, while walking six and striking out seven.

Pacheco led the way offensively for Tacoma, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Ian Miller compiled a standout performance as well, going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk. Connor Kopach also chipped in, going 1-for-4 with an RBI. Sacramento's lineup was led by Chris Shaw, who went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs.

Overall, Tacoma plated their three runs in the contest off of seven hits, two of which went for extra bases. The Rainiers also drew four walks from Sacramento pitchers.
