DES MOINES, IA - Brandon Bielak retired the last ten men he faced as Round Rock (61-44) defeated Iowa (57-49) by a score of 10-2, Saturday at Principal Park.

The I-Cubs jumped on Bielak in the first inning, when Jim Adduci knocked in Phillip Evans and Mark Zagunis with a double. However, that was the last time an Iowa baserunner would reach second base for the rest of the game.

Round Rock battled back and took the lead in the third inning when Joshua Rojas hit an RBI single followed by Jack Mayfield bringing in two with a double of his own.

Alec Mills and Bielak battled through the next three innings before Kyle Tucker cranked an 0-2, two-out grand slam over the center-field wall to break the game open.

The Express pushed across three more runs on a Rojas walk and a Chas McCormick two-run home run to beat Iowa 10-2.

POSTGAME NOTES:

- Iowa did not reach second base after Jim Adduci's double in the first inning.

- The I-Cubs tied their season-low with just three hits.

- Alec Mills surrendered a season-high seven runs, his previous high on the year was five runs. He gave up five runs three times, most recently on May 24 against Omaha.

- Iowa fell to 7-10 in front of 10,000 plus fans and just 2-6 in front of 10,000 fans against the Round Rock Express.

The I-Cubs will be wearing their Demonios de Des Moines jerseys as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa De La Diversión initiative. They will look to avoid the sweep in tomorrow's series finale at Principal Park. For more information and tickets, visit www.iowacubs.com.
