P-Bruins Fall to Wolf Pack 3-1

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-1 Friday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins got their lone goal from Nathan Robinson. The P-Bruins are now 42-30-1-5 on the season, 90 points and fall to fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

After a scoreless opening period, the Wolf Pack took a 1-0 lead at the 4:37 mark of the second period. Providence players Pascal Pelletier and Eric Nickulas collided behind the play giving Hartford a 5-on-3 opportunity. Brad Smyth scored on a shot from the slot with Chad Wiseman and Daniel Girardi getting the assists. The Wolf Pack went on top 2-0 at the 10:33 mark of the second period when Dave Liffiton backhanded the puck past Providence goaltender Derek Gustafson. Alexandre Giroux and Greg Moore had the assists.

In the third period, the P-Bruins got on the board with a power play goal from Nathan Robinson at the 2:44 mark with Tyler Redenbach and Ryan Gaucher picking up the assists. The Wolf Pack scored an empty net goal at the 19:45 by Wiseman, with Craig Weller getting the assist to go on to the 3-1 victory.

Gustafson stopped 17 of 19 shots for the P-Bruins, while Al Montoya stopped 25 of 26 shots for the Wolf Pack. The P-Bruins went 1 for 7 on the power play, while Hartford went 0 for 7 on the man-advantage.
