Iowa Chops News Release
DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit today announced the dates and times for the two possible First Round Calder Cup Playoff scenarios. The Stars locked-up the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division portion of the Calder Cup Playoffs with a 4-3 shootout victory in Peoria on Friday night. Depending on the outcome of the Houston and Milwaukee games, Iowa will either square-off against the Milwaukee Admirals or the Houston Aeros. Currently, the Admirals hold a slim lead for first in the Division.
The best-of-seven series would see the first two games played on the road, before returning to Wells Fargo Arena for games on Monday, April 24th, and Tuesday, April 25th. If necessary, Game Five would be held on Thursday, April 27th at Wells Fargo Arena. All of the home dates would have 7:05 PM face-offs. Games Six and Seven, also if necessary, would be on the road. For Stars Season Ticket Holders, Game âA' is the first home game, Game âB' is the second home game and Game âC' is the third home game.
Box Office prices for the potential First Round dates are $12, $17, $23, $27, which includes the league-mandated $1 playoff surcharge.
Discount tickets for groups of 20 or more can be purchased by calling the Stars Front Office at 515-23-STARS.
STARS NEXT GAMES: Iowa wraps up the Regular Season with games on Saturday and Sunday. The puck drops on Wells Fargo Arena ice at 7:05 PM and 5:05 PM, respectively.
