Ouellet returns to Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forward Michel Ouellet to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Ouellet, 23, appeared in three games with the Penguins, going scoreless with a plus-1 rating. He was recalled by Pittsburgh on November 22nd. The 6-0 and 202 pound native of Rimouski, Quebec has appeared in 17 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and leads the team in points (29) and assists (19), while ranking second in goals (10). He currently ranks tied for fourth in the AHL in points and tied for third in assists.

The Penguins, who have the best record in the AHL at 20-0-2-1, return to action this weekend when they host the Manitoba Moose on Friday and Saturday at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. The first 5,000 fans at Friday's game will receive a free Penguins ski cap.
