On Sunday, with one second left on the clock, Tim Brent scored the game-winning goal to push the Pirates past the Monarchs 3-2. The Pirates are now in a tie for first place in the Atlantic Division with the Manchester Monarchs.

Yesterday Corey Perry was named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week. Perry will join the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 1440AM/95.5FM on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.

Saturday, December 17th vs. Albany at 7:05 p.m. Fans will receive valuable coupons to Subway upon entering the game.

Sunday, December 18th vs. Albany at 7:05 p.m. Fans will receive a special giveaway courtesy of Irving Oil upon entering the game. At the conclusion of the game, there will be a "Skate with the Team" brought to you by MainelyKids.com. Fans can meet their favorite players and request autographs.

During the Pirates games on December 17th and 18th, fans are encouraged to make a contribution to the Stories of Light Campaign to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Tables will be set up under sections D and W.

Wednesday, December 7th - Pirates players Jordan Smith and Shane Hynes will present the "Goals for Success" program sponsored by Healthy Maine Partnerships and Pepsi at Lewiston Middle School from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, December 7th - Pirates players Kip Brennan, Jon Awe, and Kenny Smith will be at the Maine Dinner in Wells ME, from 5:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. supporting a day-long fundraiser for Gary's House.

Wednesday, December 7th - At 8:00 a.m. the Pirates, along with Bleachers and the Shipyard Brewing Co. will be presenting a check to the National Kidney Foundation at Bleachers.

Wednesday, December 7th - From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Pirates players Trevor Gillies and Curtis Glencross will be at the Hannaford Supermarket on Forest Avenue to help support of the National Kidney Foundation.

The Pirates will be at of Bull Feeney's on December 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visit the restaurant in Portland to enter for your chance to win a trip for two to Dublin, Ireland! The contest runs through December 21st.

Thursday, December 8th - Pirates fans can catch a very special edition of Thursday's Child on WGME-13 that features Kenny, a foster child who had the chance to practice with the Pirates and attend a Pirates game. The feature will air during the morning news, 12 o'clock news, and the 6:00 p.m. news.
