St. Louis recalls forward

Peoria, IL (December 5, 2005) - St. Louis Blues Senior Vice-president and General Manager Larry Pleau today announced that the club has recalled forward Jay McClement from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. The Blues have also placed forward Petr Cajanek on the injured reserve list with a sore groin.

McClement, 22, has appeared in six games with the Rivermen thus far in 2005-06, scoring three goals and three assists. In 18 games as a Blue this season, he has scored two goals and four assists and registered eight minutes in penalties.

The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
