
Richardson and Estrada Return to Monsters

Lowell, Mass. - The Lock Monsters will get a boost to their roster this week with two players rejoining the club today. C Brad Richardson and LW Kevin Estrada are expected to be in the lineup on Wednesday night against the Springfield Falcons.
Richardson, 20, is coming back to Lowell after making his debut in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche. He appeared in four games and averaged over eight minutes of ice time a game. He did not record any points. The 5th Round pick of the Avs in 2003, Richardson is fourth on the Lock Monsters in points with 13 in 17 games. He leads all Lowell rookies in assists (10) and points.
The Belleville, Ontario, native played the last four seasons with the Owen Sound Attack in the Ontario Hockey League, and led his team in scoring while ranking second in the OHL with 97 points last season. He was runner-up for Most Outstanding Player in 2004-05. Richardson was recalled on November 26th and made his NHL debut the next night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Estrada, 23, also started the season with the Lock Monsters, and was reassigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL on November 22nd. He appeared in eight games with Lowell before his reassignment, recording six penalty minutes. The 3rd round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2001, Estrada notched his first professional points.... He had 1g-4a-5pts in seven games with Florida and was a +2 with six PIM.
The Monsters return home Wednesday night to host the Springfield Falcons at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, December 10th the Portland Pirates come to town for Patriots Night at Tsongas Arena. Select members of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders will be performing and signing autographs.
