Otters Visit Rascals in Clash of First Place Teams

(O'FALLON, MISSOURI) - The first place Evansville Otters (38-23) begin a six game roadtrip at the first place River City Rascals (39-24) on Wednesday night.

First pitch is set for 7:05 pm CDT at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, Missouri.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 6:45 pm CDT.

It is $1 Hot Dog Night at the ballpark.

Evansville will have RHP Preston Olson (4-3, 2.44 ERA) on the mound in game one of the series. He will be opposed by River City righty Tim Koons (2-2, 5.51).

Olson has nine quality starts in his 11 starts this season for Evansville.

The Otters are 70-85 all-time against the Rascals. Evansville won all nine meetings between the two teams in 2013.

Evansville just won two of three from first place Washington, earning a tie between the two teams for first place in the East Division.

The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on July 16. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.

Infielder Phillip Wilson is on a nine game hitting streak.

The Otters are a Frontier League best 17-10 on the road this season.
