Rockford Aviators News Release

WASHINGTON, PA - The Rockford Aviators, presented by Pearson, fell 4-2 to the first-place Washington Wild Things tonight at CONSOL Energy Park.

The Wild Things jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after three innings on RBIs by Garrett Rau and Ryan Kresky.

In the top of the sixth inning, the Aviators equaled things up when Dusty Robinson hit his second home run of the year, a two-run shot that scored Tanner Witt to make the game 2-2.

However, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Wild Things first baseman, CJ Beatty, responded with a two-run shot of his own over the center field wall to give the Wild Things a 4-2 lead as they would hold on for the win.

Nick Grim had a decent spot start for the Aviators tonight as he went toe to toe with the Wild Things' ace, Zac Fuesser.

Grim threw six and two-thirds innings and allowed four runs on just four hits while walking three and striking out five.

The Aviators will be back in action tomorrow night against the Wild Things at 7:05 p.m. Eastern Time, 6:05 p.m. Central Time. The broadcast can be heard on the Meridix Network and the link to the broadcast can be found on the Aviators' website at www.rockfordaviators.com.
