
Otters' Offense Erupts in 13-8 Win at River City

The Evansville Otters topped the River City Rascals 13-8 tonight at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, Missouri. All nine Otters starters in the lineup had a run scored and eight finished with at least one hit. Third baseman Steve Marino finished with a career-high four hits. Outfielder DeAngelo Mack was also 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and three runs batted in.
Evansville native Adam Champion (8-4) earns the win, allowing four earned runs in 6.0 innings. The loss goes to River City starter Preston Vancil (7-9) who surrendered a season-high 10 runs in 4.1 innings. Crider earned his second save in as many games and only the third save of his career.

The Evansville Otters will now go for the series win on Wednesday night with left-hander Matt Crim (3-9, 4.70 ERA) going up against River City right-hander Justin Sarratt (2-3, 5.19). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CDT at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.
