
Otters Go For Series Win On Independance Day

The Evansville Otters (23-17) conclude their series against the Rockford Aviators (11-29) this afternoon on Independence Day.
Evansville was led by their offense last night in a series-tying 10-5 win at Aviators Stadium. Infielder Frank Martinez hit a three run home run and shortstop Ryan Kresky also hit an eighth inning home run in the win. Kresky enters today on a six-game hitting streak for the Evansville Otters.
Evansville has left-hander Rich Hawkins (1-3, 4.36 ERA) on the mound against Rockford righty Drew Rucinski (2-5, 2.68 ERA).
First pitch is set for a special 1:05 pm CDT start. Fans can tune in to the Evansville Otters pregame show on WUEV 91.5 FM beginning at 12:45 pm CDT.
