Otters Begin Weekend with Series at Rockford

(LOVES PARK, ILLINOIS) - The Evansville Otters (48-33) continue a six game roadtrip with the series opener at the Rockford Aviators (35-49) on Friday night.
First pitch is set for 7:05 pm CDT at Aviators Stadium in Loves Park, Illinois.
The game will be broadcast live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 6:45 pm CDT.
The Otters will have RHP Preston Olson (7-3, 2.82 ERA) on the mound against Aviators RHP Tony Butler (0-1, 11.57 ERA). Olson has the seventh lowest ERA in the Frontier League this season and has thrown 11 quality starts in his 15 appearances this season.
Evansville enters this series after being swept by the Traverse City Beach Bums on the road. The Otters lost 4-2 on Thursday night on a 10th inning two-run game winning home run by first baseman Yazy Arbelo. INF Shayne Houck was 2-for-4 with an RBI double and RHP Will Oliver yielded just one earned run while striking out a season-high eight batters in 7.0 innings pitched.
Evansville is 11-13 all time against the current Rockford Aviators/RiverHawks franchise. Each team won two of three games in earlier series at Bosse Field this season. This is the seventh of nine meetings this summer.
The Otters look to end a season-high three game losing streak on Friday.
The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on July 16. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.
First baseman Nik Balog is on an 11 game hitting streak.
The Otters are 21-18 on the road this season.
