Miners Playoff Tickets on Sale Now

MARION, ILL. (AUGUST 22, 2014) - The Southern Illinois Miners announce that starting NOW, fans can purchase tickets to see the Miners in action in the 2014 Frontier League playoffs at Rent One Park.
Opponent(s) are to-be-determined, with all games beginning at 7:00 p.m. CST. Ticket pricing will remain the same as the regular season for all sections of Rent One Park.
The Frontier League playoffs will begin on Saturday, September 6th with the Wild Card round, a one-game, winner-take-all battle for the four non-division winners that qualify for the playoffs. The two division winners recieve a bye into the Divisional Series, which will be a best-of-three series on Monday, September 8th, Wednesday, September 10th and Thursday, September 11th (if necessary) between the division winners from the East and West against the winners of the wild card round games.
The winners of the Divisional Series will advance to the Frontier League Championship Series, which will be a best-of-five set played on Saturday, September 13th, Sunday, September 14th, Tuesday, September 16th, Wednesday, September 17th (if necessary) and Friday, September 19th (also if necessary).

The Southern Illinois Miners are the 2012 Frontier League Champions and have been awarded the Frontier League Organization of the Year award three times since their inception.
