Otters Begin Three Game Road Series at Schaumburg

(SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS) - The Evansville Otters (45-28) begin a three-game road series on Tuesday at the Schaumburg Boomers (44-32).

First pitch is set for 6:30 pm CDT at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 6:15 pm CDT.

It is Kids Eat Free Tuesday at the ballpark.

The Otters will have RHP Trevor Walch (5-1, 2.63 ERA) on the mound. Schaumburg will have righty Charle Rosario (0-0, 4.90 ERA).

Walch has the fifth lowest ERA in the Frontier League this season.

The Otters just won two games out of three against River City including an 11-0 victory on Monday night at Bosse Field. Connor Little threw 8.0 scoreless innings and each Otters starter in the lineup recorded at least one hit.

Evansville and Schaumburg have split the all-time series nine games apiece. The Otters won two of three earlier this year at home against the Boomers.

The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on July 16. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.

Houck is on an 12 game hitting streak for the Otters. Outfielder Jeremy Nowak and John Schultz have both hit safely in seven straight.

The Otters are a Frontier League best 20-13 on the road this season.
