
Orioles Outright INF Luis Hernandez to AAA Norfolk; Claim of Jeff Fiorentino on Waivers

The Orioles today announced that INF LUIS HERNANDEZ has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk. The club has also placed and been awarded a waiver claim on Oakland A's OF JEFF FIORENTINO. The move gives the Orioles a full 40-man roster.
Fiorentino, 25, was 1-for-1 in 2 games with Oakland this season. He was originally selected by the Orioles in the 3rd round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft out of Florida Atlantic University and batted .253 (21-83) in 32 games for the Orioles in 2005 and 2006.
Hernandez, 23, batted .241 (19-79) in 36 games for the Orioles this season.
