FORT MILL, S.C. - June 5, 2008 - It seemed like every time a Pawtucket player went to bat he got on base as the PawSox belted out 14 hits-including two three-run home runs-en route to a 8-3 win over Charlotte.
The PawSox took an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second on a Jonathan Van Every three-run homer. Pawtucket added another run in the 4th before the Knights scored a pair of runs on two fielder's choice making it 4-2. The Knights would add another run in the next inning making it 4-3. Pawtucket pulled away in the 7th, when Bobby Keilty blasted a three-run shot of his own giving the PawSox a 7-3 lead for good. David Pauley (8-2, 3.86) picked up the win for Pawtucket. Lance Broadway (5-3, 3.18) took the loss for the Knights
The Knights conclude their homestand with the PawSox tomorrow at 7:15. Jack Egbert (1-4, 6.39 will take the mound for Charlotte. Charlie Zink (6-2, 2.60) will get the start for Pawtucket.
