Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Pick-Up on Thursday

(Peterborough, ON, Novmeber 5, 2014)- The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce that they will be distributing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at the Peterborough Memorial Centre during Thursday's game against the North Bay Battalion.

Fans are encouraged to pick up a free box from the Samaritan's Purse booth in the North Lobby. Participants should fill the boxes according to the directions in the included pamphlet, and return the boxes to the PMC at Peterborough's home games on November 15 (Niagara) and 20 (Sault Ste. Marie).

The shoes will be sent to underprivileged children in Africa and South America through the international aid organization Samaritan's Purse. There will also be a donation box set up on Thursday for those who prefer to make a cash donation which will be turned into a packed shoe box.
