Brampton Steelheads News Release

Following two busy weekends, the Steelheads find themselves with a manageable schedule for the week. The Trout make the trek to Belleville, Ontario to take on the Bulls (10-4-0-1) on Wednesday, before returning to the Hershey Centre on Friday to host the Niagara IceDogs (2-13-0-0) for the second consecutive week.

The Bulls are coming off of a two-game losing slump, dropping back-to-back games against the Oshawa Generals. The Generals prevented the second place Bulls from making up ground in a hurry, andcurrently in first place in the East Division. The Bulls suffered their first home loss of the season last weekend. With the loss, the Bulls home record is now 6-1-0-0.

The Steelheads hold a 5-3 all-time regular season record against the Belleville Bulls. Wednesday will mark the first of four meetings this season between these two Eastern Conference teams. Mississauga are 3-2 against East Division opponents this season.

The Bulls organization is one that Steelheads GM/Coach James Boyd knows well. During his junior hockey career, Boyd played his final two seasons in the OHL for Belleville. He also started his coaching career with the Bulls, spending four years on the bench, three as an assistant and one as the Head Coach.

The Trout will put their 5-2 home record to the test against the Niagara IceDogs on Friday. Mississauga has beaten the IceDogs in both meetings so far this season, though they have both been one-goal games. The IceDogs are winless in their first nine road games this season.
