Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Home and Community Support Services of Grey-Bruce and will be assisting with their Meals on Wheels program for the 2014/2015 season.

Operating since 1991 Home and Community Support Services of Grey-Bruce(HCSS) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to manage and deliver Ministry of Health approved support services to eligible seniors, and physically challenged adults within Grey and Bruce counties. These services assist clients to maintain their independence within their community, and their daily lives. Attack Captain Zach Nastasiuk and goaltender Jack Flinn made the Attack's second set of deliveries on Tuesday.

"A lot of the people requiring these services are long time fans who are no longer able to come to games, but still follow the team closely.", stated Attack Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Brent Fisher. "Whether it is through television or radio, they are still familiar with the players and the organization. They don't stop being fans."

"We are thrilled to have players from the Owen Sound Attack partner with the Meals on Wheels program by delivering hot, nutritious meals to clients in Owen Sound.", says Audrey Earle, Volunteer Recruitment Specialst for HCSS. "These are clients, who for a variety of reasons, cannot prepare adequate meals or easily shop for themselves. The Owen Sound Attack Players will bring many smiles to the faces of clients they meet, and they will see firsthand the difference their contribution is making."

Different players will take part each month for the Attack.
