LAST GAME: Oklahoma took an early lead but allowed runs in six different innings and fell 13-7 at Albuquerque. Michael Ballard allowed seven earned runs over three plus innings in the loss. Every RedHawk had at least one hit, paced three apiece from Chris Shelton and John Mayberry. Nate Gold drove in four of Oklahoma's seven runs, including three on a fifth inning home run.

SIX STRAIGHT: Oklahoma has lost six straight games and ten of its last 12. The RedHawks division lead is down to four games over New Orleans entering play tonight. The six-game skid is the longest losing streak of the season and the third longest over the last three years. The RedHawks dropped nine in a row from April 29 though May 7 in 2006 and seven straight from August 25 through 31 last year.

SWEPT OUT OF TOWN:

Oklahoma was swept for the first time this season. The RedHawks have won 11 series, lost 11, and split nine. New Orleans was the last team to sweep the Oklahoma, from August 27 through 30 last season, a year that saw the RedHawks swept three different times. Oklahoma finished the 16-game season series with Albuquerque with nine wins and seven losses.

NUMBERS BREAKDOWN:

Oklahoma was outscored 39-18 over the four games in Albuquerque, and have been outscored 51-22 during this six game losing streak. The RedHawks have hit .291 over the last six games, but have a staff earned run average of 8.46 with the opposition hitting .310 during the losing streak.

GOOD AS GOLD:

Nate Gold extended his on-base streak to 14 games with a pair of hits in last night's loss to Albuquerque. Gold also hit his 22nd home run of the season, 16 of which have come away from AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks first baseman/ designated hitter is hitting 25 points higher on the road than he is at home (.266 to .241) and has driven in 16 more runs away (49 to 33). Gold has hit safely in 18 of his last 20 games to raise his average 28 points, from .226 to .254.

MATHIS OPTIONED:

Texas activated Doug Mathis of its 15-day disabled list on Monday and optioned him to the RedHawks roster. Mathis pitched three scoreless innings in his rehab start on Sunday and walked just two batters along the way. The right-hander began the season with Oklahoma before having his contract purchased on May 11 by the Rangers. Mathis was placed on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation on June 20.

MORE STREAKING REDHAWKS:

Ryan Roberts extended his hitting streak to seven games with a pair of hits on Monday, while Casey Benjamin has a five game streak entering play in his next contest.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION:

Texas had the day off and opens a series at Boston tonight... Frisco lost 10-3 at Northwest Arkansas... Bakersfield allowed seven runs in the ninth in a 9-4 loss to Stockton... Clinton was doubled up by Quad Cities 4-2... Spokane edged Boise 2-1.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

Oklahoma pitchers have not retired the side in order in the first inning of a game in their last 23 chances, a streak dating back to July 18... RedHawks pitchers surrendered 13 runs for the second straight game in Monday's loss, the sixth time that Oklahoma has given up a season-high 13 runs in any single game... Oklahoma placed Kazuo Fukumori on the disabled list prior to Monday's game in Albuquerque.
