Boudreaux and Clotile to Renew Vows Saturday

Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs will celebrate the 10-year wedding anniversary of their mascot couple, Boudreaux and Clotile, this Saturday, August 16 when the Zephyrs face the Iowa Cubs at 6:00 p.m.

Boudreaux and Clotile were married before a sellout crowd at Zephyr Field on August 16, 1998.

"The original wedding ceremony has earned fame as one of the most popular minor league baseball promotions ever," said Zephyrs General Manager Mike Schline. "It receives recognition annually at baseball's Winter Meetings during promotional seminars."

Early-arriving fans on Saturday will have a chance to re-live the original wedding through a special DVD giveaway sponsored by Welliver Productions, who filmed the 1998 ceremony. Special guests, including Zephyrs players, will be in attendance for the vow renewal, which will take place after the game and be followed by a fireworks spectacular and a concert by Burnside Flashers.
