SALT LAKE CITY (August 12, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has activated outfielder Terry Evans from the disabled list.

Evans, 26, was placed on the disabled list on May 21 with a right labrum tear. The 2007 Pacific Coast League All-Star has appeared in 26 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .308 with nine doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI. In four games with the Tempe Angels on rehab assignment, Evans went 5-for-12 with two doubles, one home run and two RBI.

The Dublin, Ga. native joined the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from St. Louis in a trade for Jeff Weaver on July 5, 2006. He made his major league debut as an Angel on June 17, 2007, registering a home run in his first at-bat.
