Oklahoma City Acquires Future Draft Picks

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Blue has acquired two future draft picks through separate trades, the team announced today.

Oklahoma City acquired a 2015 second round pick from the Iowa Energy in exchange for a third round pick in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft. The traded pick was originally acquired by Oklahoma City through a trade with Iowa last season.

Additionally, Oklahoma City received a 2015 third round pick from the Idaho Stampede in exchange for a 2014 third round pick. The traded pick was originally acquired by Oklahoma City through a trade with the Canton Charge last season.

The 2014 NBA D-League Draft will take place via Cisco WebEx on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. CT from the NBA studios in Secaucus, N.J., with Oklahoma City making the ninth overall pick.

The selection order for each of the eight rounds of the 2014 Draft will be determined based on the reverse order of 2013-14 regular season results. The final 2014 NBA D-League Draft order will be announced on Oct. 31, after all potential trades have been executed.
