Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers close out their series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 1:35 p.m. Central at Security Service Field trying for a third straight win and to go five games above .500 for the first time this season.
Last Game: A four-run burst in the first inning powered the Dodgers to an 8-2 win Sunday afternoon against Colorado Springs at Security Service Field. OKC built a quick 4-0 lead, starting with a two-run homer by Rob Segedin. Jose Tabata collected a RBI single and James Ramsey also added a RBI double in the inning. The Sky Sox used a two-out RBI single by Josmil Pinto to cut into OKC's lead in the second inning. The next three runs for OKC all scored without a hit. With the bases loaded, Jack Murphy drew a walk to bring home a run for a 5-1 advantage in the third inning. The Dodgers added two more runs in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Zach Walters to push the Dodgers ahead, 6-1. With Ramsey at the plate, Tabata was caught stealing second base and Corey Brown scored during the rundown for a 7-1 lead. A two-out RBI triple by Garin Cecchini scored the Sky Sox's second run in the bottom of the sixth. The Dodgers added a run in the top of the eighth inning when Brown singled to right field allowing Elian Herrera to score the Dodgers' eighth run of the day. Dodgers starting pitcher Sam LeCure (1-1) earned the win. He allowed two runs on four hits, walked one and recorded three strikeouts before leaving with an injury. Ian Thomas, Joe Thatcher, and Jacob Rhame closed out the game for OKC with 3.2 scoreless frames. Colorado Springs starting pitcher Taylor Jungmann (0-2) was charged with the loss after allowing seven runs, five hits, and six walks over four innings.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Julio Urias (3-1) looks to keep his strong start to the season going and notch his fourth win...The 19-year-old's 1.88 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and .163 average all currently pace the PCL, and his 10.88 strikeouts per nine inning are second-best among starting pitchers...His WHIP is fourth-best overall in the Minors, and his opponent average ranks 12th...In his last start Wednesday at home against New Orleans, Urias fired six no-hit innings and faced the minimum as he led OKC to a 5-0 win. He combined with relievers Lisalverto Bonilla and Chin-Hui Tsao on a one-hit shutout. Urias threw 77 pitches, 52 of which were strikes, and retired the first 12 batters he faced before Dan Black reached base on an error by Dodgers shortstop Zach Walters. Overall Urias retired 17 of 18 batters faced and eliminated his only baserunner with a pickoff. Urias recorded six strikeouts in the game and his six innings pitched tied a career high. At the plate, Urias collected a RBI sac bunt and a single...Through his first 24.0 IP, Urias has notched 29 strikeouts against three walks, good for a 9.67 strikeout-to-walk ratio...Urias spent the majority of the 2015 season with Double-A Tulsa, but missed almost two months of the season due to elective cosmetic surgery on his left eye in late May. He made 13 starts with the Drillers, going 3-4 with a 2.77 ERA. He recorded 74 strikeouts against 15 walks over 68.1 innings...Today marks his first career appearance against the Sky Sox.

OKC looks to win a third consecutive series in Colorado Springs this afternoon...The teams split the season series in 2015, with each team going 5-3 on the road...Four of Colorado Springs' eight wins against OKC came when trailing after seven innings. OKC only lost one other game all season when leading after seven innings...Current Sky Sox first baseman Andy Wilkins played for the Dodgers last season and hit .364 in the series, with a team-leading 20 hits and 12 runs scored against Colorado Springs...2015 marked just the second time the Sky Sox have won eight games in one season against OKC...Oklahoma City has not lost a season series to the Sky Sox since 2010...OKC pitching coach Matt Herges played for Colorado Springs over parts of three seasons (2007-09).
Call to Arms: Yesterday marked the eighth consecutive game the Dodgers held their opponent to three or fewer runs, as well as the 17th time in 28 games this season. In those eight games, they have allowed two or fewer earned runs six times and have posted a team 1.80 ERA (15 ER/75.0 IP) ...OKC currently leads the PCL with a 3.13 ERA and has allowed the fewest runs (96) and fewest hits (214). The Dodgers rank third in the league with 253 strikeouts and have the second-best strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.05)...Over the past eight games, starting pitchers have combined to post a 1.82 ERA (8 ER/39.2 IP) and a .173 opponent average (24x139), with six walks and 44 strikeouts (7.33 K/BB)...Opponents are 7 for their last 64 with runners in scoring position, and OKC leads the PCL with a .204 opponent average with RISP this season...The Dodgers have kept their opponents scoreless in 56 of the last 67 innings.
Bringing Attitude to the Altitude: The Dodgers have pitched extremely well at hitter-friendly Security Service Field of late. Since the beginning of the 2015 season, the team has posted a 3.46 ERA (34 ER/88.1 IP) and has allowed three or fewer earned runs in nine of 11 games...By comparison, the Sky Sox have a 6.32 ERA in 13 home games this season.
Surging Segedin: Rob Segedin collected his team-leading sixth home run of the season Sunday and has now safely in 18 of his last 20 games (17 of 18 starts), batting .405 (32x79) with 14 extra-base hits, 15 RBI, 20 runs scored, and nine multi-hit games...His 18 runs scored since April 23 are tops in the PCL...Segedin ranks eighth in the league with a .350 batting average. He paces the PCL with five triples, while his .670 slugging percentage ranks third. His 69 total bases rank second, and his 36 hits rank tied for third. His 16 extra-base hits are tied for third-most in the league.
What Can Brown Do For You?...A Lot, Actually: Corey Brown reached base in each of his five plate appearances Sunday, going 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, one RBI, and three runs scored. The two walks and three runs both set season highs, and it was the first time he scored three times in one game since June 5, 2012 when he scored four times for Triple-A Syracuse against Louisville...Brown is batting .393 (24x61) with 11 RBI over his last 15 games. He has hit safely in 12 of those contests with nine multi-hit efforts. He's been even hotter his last seven games, going 11-for-26 (.423) with four multi-hit games...Brown's .344 season average ranks 11th in the PCL.
Walkabout: Yesterday was the second time this week the Dodgers had 10 walks in a game. They also drew 10 free passes against New Orleans on Monday, but in 10 innings...It was the first time the team drew 10 walks in nine innings since May 20, 2014 at New Orleans.
Kontakt Issues: Dodgers batters racked up 11 strikeouts Sunday, marking the 16th time through the first 28 games that the Dodgers struck out at least 10 times in a game...The Dodgers lead the PCL with 282 strikeouts this season - 35 more than Reno, which has played one more game.
