Tulsa Oilers News Release

Royal Visit: The Tulsa Oilers who posted their first win of the season last night, will face their second straight Northeast Divisional foe tonight as they entertain the Memphis RiverKings.

Records: Oilers are 1-3-0 with 2 points, in fourth place in the Northeast Division. Memphis is 3-1-2 with 8 points in second place in the Northeast Division.

Season Series: This is the first of nine meetings between the two teams. Six of the nine games will be here in Tulsa.

Last Night: The Oilers broke into the win column, with a 5-2 win over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. Memphis is shooting for a Sooner State sweep. After playing its first five games at home, Memphis won its first road game of the season last night, winning 6-3 in Oklahoma City.

Nice Chap: Bryan LaChapelle led the Oilers scoring parade last night. While five different Oilers had goals, LaChapelle chipped in three assists as well, for a four-point night.

Powerful Stuff: The Oilers had registered five power play goals in their first three games. Last night, three of the Tulsa goals came on the man advantage, as Tulsa was 5-for-17 with the man advantage.

Short Stuff: Bobby Davis registered his first goal of the season last night. It was also the Oilers first shorthanded goal of the season.

Don't Leave Early: While the Oilers have yet to have an overtime game, three of Memphis' six games have gone to the extra session. The RiverKings are 1-0 in overtime and 1-1 in shootouts.

A Real Plus: Even with the Oilers three power play goals last night, Jaroslav Cesky was on the ice for the team's shorthanded and even strength goal, and was +2 on the night.

Next Up: The Oilers conclude their four game homestand on Tuesday night against the Colorado Eagles at 7:05 p.m. That will be the first QuikTrip Tuesday of the season with fans able to pick up ticket vouchers at area QuikTrip Stores. Memphis hosts the Rocky Mountain Rage tomorrow.
