
Bugs beat Wichita in shootout

WICHITA, KS -- The Bossier Shreveport Mudbugs continued to struggle on the penalty kill on Saturday night versus Wichita. Kris Wiebe was first to get Wichita on the board during a power play in the first period.
John DeCaro turned aside shot after shot before surrendering another powerplay goal in the second period, this time to Scott Rozendal.
The Mudbugs would fight back hard in the third period. Forbes MacPherson scored his first goal of the season on a 5 on 3 powerplay. Daniel Pegaro then scored an even strength goal to tie the game.
Both teams skated to a draw in the overtime. In the shootout, Forbes MacPherson, Chris Brassard and Dan Wildfong all scored to secure the first shootout victory of the season and the first win for goaltender John DeCaro.
