
Oil Kings Poor Neighbours, Down Hitmen Again

Calgary, AB - Airdrie product and St. Louis Blues prospect Jake Neighbours scored twice and added an assist to propel the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday afternoon at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex.
Dylan Guenther also notched three points for the Central Division leading Oil Kings with a goal and two assists while Scott Atkinson and Kaid Oliver counted the other markers helping Edmonton improve to 9-0.
Sean Tschigerl and Riley Stotts replied for the Hitmen who trailed 1-0 after the opening period and 2-1 after 40 minutes.
Edmonton outshot Calgary 45-31 and received a 29 save performance from goaltender Sebastian Cossa while Brayden Peters turned aside 40 shots for the Hitmen who drop to 4-5-1-0.
On the special teams front, the Oil Kings went 1-6 on the powerplay and killed all four Calgary chances.
The two teams will close their weekend series tomorrow, Sunday, March 28th in Edmonton. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
