
Oil Kings Call Up Mitchell Moroz

Edmonton, AB.: The Edmonton Oil Kings have called up Mitchell Moroz for their game Friday, October 9th, when they visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Moroz was the Oil Kings second round pick, 30th overall, in the 2009 Bantam Draft. He is currently playing in the Calgary Edge Mountaineers program in Calgary. The 15 year old forward did skate with the Oil Kings in the pre-season.
Edmonton has six players on the injury list. Defenseman Jesse Pearson and forward TJ Foster are out indefinitely with concussions. Forward Rhett Rachinski and defenseman Henrik Tervonen are out two to three weeks with shoulder sprains. Forward Tomas Vincour is day to day with a forearm contusion and forward Clayton Cumiskey is day to day with a concussion.
The Oil Kings are on a two game road trip and will visit the Swift Current Broncos Saturday, October 10th. The team returns home to begin a four game home stand on Monday, October 12th against the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Thanksgiving Monday game is at 2:00 pm. The team will Stuff the Bus for Edmonton's Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game to donate. It is also a Sundae Monday, where fans can get an ice cream treat with all the toppings for $1.
